Jenny says: It has been wonderful to see Gillian’s work and range develop since we began stocking her in 2014. Originally we stocked mainly floral pieces, but our customers have loved Gillian’s textured landscapes, in particular her focus on the picturesque setting of nearby Rutland Water and they’ve proven very poplar since we began stocking them.
With a growing base of collectors and a new London stockist, Gillian is definitely ‘one to watch’ and one of my top artists I would recommend investing in. In my personal opinion the value of her pieces is only going to increase and she has already built up a good reputation for her artwork.

Inspiration also comes from contemporary artists such as Barbara Rae, Mary Fedden and William Selby. Gillian particularly admires their depiction of everyday objects suspended in their own space and Barbara Rae’s striking use of abstraction and contrasting colour in her landscapes.
