Spend a day with Katie and explore texture and decoration to make your very own porcelain tea light.
Be inspired by samples and use a variety of textures from buttons, vintage lace to stamps to create an individual tea light holder that can be personalised. Throughout the session you will learn how to add texture, coloured glazes and hand building ceramic techniques. No experience necessary as you will be guided by Katie’s expertise along the way. All materials provided but you will need to bring an apron and a packed lunch.

Leigh will demonstrate the ‘Silver Alchemy’ skills & help you to make your very own Silver Jewellery to take away with you. This workshop will use Precious Metal Clay (also known as silver clay) to create fine silver jewellery. All tools, Silver & materials will be provided & are included in the workshop price. By the end of your Workshop with us you will have made yourself at least one completed item to take away with you ready to wear, in this Workshop we will be looking at creating simple pendants/earrings. No previous experience or creative ability required.
You will need to wear comfortable clothing and bring an apron. Ribbons and gift boxes are provided for the pendants you make but you are welcome to bring a spare silver chain from home if you prefer.

Time: 10am – 1pm
Duration: 3 hours
Maximum Number of Places: 12
Learn the technique of cutting and layering coloured glass with metal details and highlights of Dichroic sparkle. Explore a number of techniques and play with colour and form to produce your own unique jewellery including pendants, earrings, cufflinks, and brooches.
Your creations will be taken back to Stevie’s studio, fired and finished before being returned to the gallery for collection, usually within two weeks. The aim is to make approximately 4 pieces depending on your chosen design and required jewellery findings, so you can even make some for yourself and some as gifts! No previous experience or creative ability required.

Please Note: All workshops take place upstairs at Itch Gallery, 17a Mill St, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6EA. Please note that the gallery is a Grade II Listed building and as such has steps, uneven flooring and low beams. If you have any special requirements, please contact the gallery on 01572 755333 before booking.
Cancellation Policy: You have 14 days from the day after booking to cancel your place on the workshop. After this time, a 50% refund will be given if cancelling a minimum of 30 days before the workshop is due to take place. If less 30 days before the workshop is due to take place, no refund will be given.
